AI-driven development stops being a series of throwaway chats when your agent has a home. An Agent Pod is a persistent cloud workspace: launch it from GenStudio, choose Claude Code, OpenClaw, or a custom image, and start work in a real terminal. The main terminal survives your disconnects, so a long refactor or a full test run keeps going after you close the laptop. Idle pods auto-sleep to save spend and resume exactly where they left off, so an overnight job is waiting for you in the morning.
Nothing about a pod is disposable. Everything in /workspace persists across sessions — your repo, your build, your dependencies — and Claude Code pods also keep ~/.claude, so credentials, history, and settings come back when the pod resumes. Wake it a week later and the agent picks up where it stopped, with no re-setup. The main terminal is the session that outlives your connection; extra tabs get a short grace window before they release, so a dropped signal never costs you your place.
Two engineers on one Claude Code session usually means collisions. On SkyDeck, exactly one Driver holds the keyboard while everyone else observes live and read-only.
